Lecture by H.E. Gautier Mignot
We had the privilege of listening to a great lecture by H.E. Gautier Mignot, who gave a talk on what it is like to be an EU Ambassador to Mexico. Mr. Mignot met with Public Governance students who are currently studying the specific nature of the EU's political system. Ambassador Mignot, who has been in the French Diplomatic Service since 1995 and has extensive experience in Latin America, sparked our students' interest not only in the European External Action Service but also in an EU career outside Europe.
Until his current posting, Mr Mignot was the Ambassador of the EU to Mexico. Before joining the European External Action Service in 2021, the career diplomat spent 26 years in the Foreign Service of his home country of France. He has diplomatic experience in some of the most demanding regions of the world, including Latin America.
